CRESTVIEW, Fla. -- Horace A. "Repeat" House, 64, of Crestview, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., and Vandalia, Mich., died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, after battling cancer.

He was born Dec. 12, 1945, in Clarksdale, Miss., to Thomas and Nehoma (Jones) House. He married Annie Ruth Williams on June 2, 1967, in Elkhart.

Surviving are his wife, Annie R. House of Crestview; five sons, Marlin L. (Dianne) House of Summerfield, S.C., Maurice A. (Zsa Zsa) House of St. Louis, Cortez L. House of West Palm Beach, Fla., Edward (Kim) Beathea of Columbia, Ohio, and Terry M. (Pam) Williams of Elkhart; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas (LeVater) House, Clemon (Mary) House and Arlin (Zellie) House, all of Dowagiac, Mich., and Henry (Ora) House Sr. of Elkhart; and four sisters, Annie Pearl Garner and Henrietta (Charles) Stewart, both of Cassopolis, Mich., and Mary (Jessie) Jackson and Pearl (Harold) Williams, both of Elkhart.

Horace was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcey L. House; and three brothers, Robert Lee Sr., and Anthony and James Roland House; and three sisters, Nehoma Warr, Ruth McKnight and Sally Greenwood.

Horace worked as a machinist for many years in the Elkhart area, formerly working at Goshen Rubber, Holiday Rambler Corp., Godfrey Marine and Gunite Corp. While living in Crestview, he was a member of Airport Road Church of Christ and American Legion Post 75. He had also attended Willowdale Church of Christ in Elkhart. Repeat was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing spades and shooting pool. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1974.

Friends may call for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at Willowdale Church of Christ, 1400 Willowdale Ave., Elkhart. The Rev. Ray Caudill will officiate with burial to follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, veteran's section, with military honors by the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Detail and Elkhart DAV Chapter 19.
