Hope Berry, 80, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Hope was born on July 10, 1943 in Renton, WA to the late Carson and Ruby (Conner) Fulford. She is preceded in death by her brother Delbert Fulford and nephew, Patrick Barton.

Hope is survived by her children, Didi ( Gary D. ) Kidder, Danny (Laura) Berry, Dusty (Brenda) Berry, David Berry and Michael Wayne Bowden; grandchildren, Danielle, Kyle, Garrett, Shelby, Angela and Kayla; great granddaughter, Ella Rose and niece, Cherie Barton.

Hope was affectionately known as "The Christmas Lady". She celebrated the spirit of Christmas year-round and shared this joy with others by saying "Merry Christmas" followed by the number of days until Christmas.

Hope enjoyed living life to the fullest. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and reading.  She was also a history buff at one time wanting to be a paleontologist. Hope was also a huge animal lover especially when it came to her beloved dogs.

Hope was a very loving and wonderful mom and a good friend to many. She had a great smile, was a kid at heart and loved to make people laugh.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514. Rev. Spencer Mielke of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate.

Friends and family may visit from 1:00pm to 3:00pm before the start of the service at the funeral home.
