Obituary
ELKHART -- Hilda Faye Scott, 64, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday (Feb. 8, 2011) at home.
She was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Florence, Ala., to Edward C. White and Dorothy Lee (Risner) Moore.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle (Bryan) Mills of Indianapolis; son Tommy Heflin of Elkhart; brother Dwight White of Elkhart; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Karen White.
Hilda was employed with various local RV manufacturers as an upholstery worker. Some of her favorite pastimes included crocheting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and most recently, learning to use her new computer while discovering the wonders of the Internet.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the 2 p.m. memorial service Saturday, Feb.12, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart. Gary Ketcham, pastor of New Testament Bible Church, will officiate.
