ELKHART — Henry M. Castro, 82, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Greenleaf Health Campus.

Henry was born to Manual Castro and Angelica (Martinez) Castro Gonzales on March 4, 1936, in Orange, California.

He married Jeanette Evon Wolfer on Dec. 31, 1974, in Elkhart.

He enjoyed working outside, gardening and landscaping.

He operated a lawn care business for 15 years, and also worked in manufacturing, truck driving and auto repair.

He liked watching sports on TV, especially wrestling and boxing.

He loved spending time with family and friends.

Henry is survived by his wife; sons Jess (Isabell) Castro of Los Angeles and Robert Castro of Elkhart; granddaughter Lilith Castro of Elkhart; and sister Pietra Gaw (Joe Galvan) of Santa Ana, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jesus J. Castro and sister Rebecca Cadenas.

He attended True Vine Tabernacle where a memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at 54365 Independence St., Elkhart, IN 46514, with visitation from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the church for the TVT Building Project.
