ELKHART — Helen I. Larsen, 86, of Elkhart, passed away at 1 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, after an extended illness at Riverside Village Healthcare Center, Elkhart.
She was born in Elkhart on Nov. 20, 1926, to the late Nun and Edna (Windbigler) Fearnow.
She married Louis Larsen Jr. on Christmas Eve 1947. He passed away in 1974.
Surviving are a son, Louis Larsen III of Elkhart; and a brother, D.L. "Vern" (Patricia) Fearnow of Goshen.
Preceding her in death are seven brothers and a granddaughter, Iris Anne Larsen.
A private graveside service will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
Helen worked nearly her entire adult life at Conn-Selmer, Elkhart.
Memorial donations in Helen's memory may be given to Humane Society of Elkhart County.
