JUDSONIA, Ark. — Helen Jane House, 89, of Judsonia, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., passed away at home Aug. 23.
She was born May 14, 1926, in Elkhart, to the late James and Helen (Angel) McLain.
Helen attended St. Augustine College in Illinois, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing. She was a registered nurse and retired after 45 years.
She is survived by her sons, Patrick House of Elkhart and Thomas House of Judsonia; one sister, Mary Doncaster of Florida; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E. Victor House; one sister, Phyllis Goolsby; a son, Michael House; and infant son James Victor House.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Rice Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
