ELKHART — Helen E. Best, 76, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Nov. 13.
She was born Sept. 8, 1939, in Smithville, Tenn., to Shelmon "Jim" Cantrell and Alma O. (Moore) Cantre
Survivors include one daughter, Kara (Mark) Albrecht of Elkhart; one granddaughter, Alaina Celine Albrecht of Elkhart; two brothers, Artt (Glenda) Cantrell of Imlay City, Mich., and Bruce (Betty) Cantrell of Florence, S. C.; two sisters, Ivadell Taylor of Monroe, Mich., and Willie Jo Baize of Beaver Dam, Ky.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Roy M. Best; and two brothers.
In addition to being a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandma and sister, she was employed as a machine operator in the automobile manufacturing industry for several years.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services and no public services will be held. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
