Hazel M. Miller, 95, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on July 11, 1923 ion Foraker, IN to Amzy E. and Agnes Orpha (Smeltzer) Roose. Hazel married Ray L. Miller on July 3, 1950 in Southwest, IN. Ray died June 30, 2007, as well as her son Jack L. Miller in 2005; brother Willard Roose and sister Florence Claussen.

She is survived by daughter-in-law Suzie V. Miller; 2 grandchildren, Laura Ann Miller, Christine (Alan) Stamper; 4 great grandchildren; niece Carol Wilden.

Hazel formerly worked at the Chase Bag Factory in Goshen and was a member of the First Brethren Church, Goshen. She enjoyed crocheting and baking for her family.

Services celebrating Hazel's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior on Friday, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Pastor Cory Smith will officiate. Entombment will follow at Hope Mausoleum in Rice Cemetery.
