ELKHART — Harry F. "Bud" Ervin Jr., 61, of Elkhart, passed away at his residence Sunday, Dec. 25.
Harry was born Oct. 30, 1955, in Indianapolis, to Harry F, and Betty (Andis) Ervin Sr.
He is survived by three sons, Jeremy J. Ervin, Harry F. Ervin III and Ryan Bushnell; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; also three sisters, Debbie (Jeff) McQueen and Rita (Rick) Vorm, both of Elkhart, and Tammy (Don) Adams of Goshen; his mother, Betty Ervin of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
Bud was preceded in death by his father Harry Sr. in 1993.
Bud worked construction for many years in the Kansas City area. He then became a licensed realtor and broker for many years selling in the KC area. Bud was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, loved listening to the Beatles and lake living on the Lake of the Ozarks.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1973 until his honorable discharge in 1976.
Military honors will be rendered for Bud at the Prairie Street Cemetery Veteran Towers at noon Friday by the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard and DAV Chapter 19.
In honoring Bud's wishes, cremation was chosen.
Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
