Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 10 a.m to 12 p.m at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A sharing of memories service will begin at 12:00 p.m. where family and friends are kindly asked to share a story or a fond memory about Harold. Immediately following the service, a graveside service will be held at Prairie Street Cemetery where he will be reunited alongside Diana, who was his whole world.

Harold was a hardworking family man who always put others' needs before his own. He worked in the manufacturing industry for many years in Elkhart where he made many friends. Harold had never met a stranger and was always willing to help strangers in need. He often opened up his home to those who were homeless or in need of shelter. He passed on his generous heart to his children who take after him in caring for those in need of God’s love and grace.

Harold was an avid motorcyclist and loved playing games with his family. He was a very intelligent man and could beat just about anyone in a game of RISK and Axis and Allies. He’d often play video games alongside his children and grandchildren as well, fantasy themed games like Legends of Zelda and Minecraft. In his earlier years, Harold enjoyed playing softball, coin collecting, as well as stamp collecting (which he’d been doing since he was 10 years old). With his family, he enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Bears. Harold was a man who lived life to its fullest and lived life the way he wanted to live it. Words cannot describe how much he will be dearly missed by his family, many friends, and by the lives of the people he positively impacted with his kind heart.
