Harold "Jack" Amiss, 79, of Granger, IN passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at his home.

Harold was born in Ohio on February 5th 1944 to Harold George and Henrietta (Rivers) Amiss. Jack married the love of his life, Judy on July 19th, 1966.

He is proceeded in death by daughter Lori O'Dowd; granddaughter Amanda LaGrand and his brother Phillip Amiss.

Jack is survived by his wife Judy (Bowlby) Amiss, daughters Lisa (Jeff) Meteiver, and Teri Hairston (Mike) of Indianapolis; grandchildren Lindzi O'Dowd, Christina Meteiver, Tony Meteiver (Angela), Gage Back, Kenneth Meteiver and Phil Meteiver (Amber); great grandchildren Beau Michael, Chase Meteiver, Lilly, Noah, Leah Meteiver, Salis, Vanille, and Booker Meteiver, Alexis LaGrand and Olivia and great great grandson Keymarri.

Jack honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a welder and pipefitter in the construction field for many years. Jack was an avid football fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard.

Jack was funny, reserved and a hard worker.

There will be no formal services at this time.
