She was born July 13, 1941, in Middlebury to John and Viola (Beck) Miller.
She is survived by two daughters, Syrena L. (Clifford "Corky") McIntosh and Tecia J. (Eric) Petersen, both of Elkhart; six sisters, Kathryn Stein of Elkhart, Dorothy Lehman of Palm, Fla., Loraine Platz and Jeanne (Thomas) Naylor, both of Bristol, Marjorie (Donald) Fisher of Howe and Charlene (Ned) Gates of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one brother, Robert (Jean) Miller of Middlebury; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Friends may also call one hour prior to the 1 p.m. service Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Keith McFarren of Faith United Methodist Church in South Bend will officiate.
Burial will be in Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen.
Ms. Maas worked at Whitehall Laboratories and later Bayer Industries for more than 10 years, retiring in 2002. She loved flowers, cats and dogs. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events, shopping and watching the Chicago Bears on television.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County or The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
