Gwen D. Tavernier Cramer, 61, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 12, 2020 at her residence. She was born on October 30, 1958 in Elkhart to the Edward W. and Darlene (Gaskill) Tavernier.

Gwen is survived by her daughter, Jaime (Scott) Pletz; grandchildren, Everett, Juniper, and Opal; brother, Bill Tavernier; aunt, Peg Fulk; and her loving companion, Ralph Holaway. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry E. Cramer; and brother, Tim Tavernier.

A celebration of life gathering will take place on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street in Elkhart. In accordance with Gwen's wishes, cremation was chosen. Please bring a face mask and follow proper social distancing procedures during the visitation. Memorial donations may go back to the Cramer family directly, c/o Jaime Pletz, to help with funeral expenses.

Gwen was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who loved helping others. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family and always made sure they were taken care of and well fed. Whenever she was able, Gwen loved being out on the water and enjoyed her trips to Florida to walk on the beaches and swim in the ocean. Most of all, she loved being "Nana" to her grandchildren and spoiled them every chance she got. Gwen will be greatly missed by her loving family.
