Obituary
ELKHART — Gary "Joe" Gran, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 31, 1942, in Elkhart, to Victor D. Gran Sr. and Carrie M. (Dawson) Gran.
On Oct. 4, 1996, he married Janet (Reed) Gran in Elkhart. She survives at home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Christine (Loren) Chupp of Goshen and Laurie (Shane) Hendrickson of Elkhart; one step-daughter, Kimberly A. (Bruce) Huser of Goshen; one brother, Victor D. (Laura) Gran Jr. of Elkhart; five grandchildren, Joseph Chupp of Austin, Texas, Holly (Brian) Peters of Goshen, Tyler (Brittni) Huser of New Paris, Jessica (Carlos) Arce of Goshen and Sarah Huser of Goshen; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Dylan Winesburg.
Joe was employed as a millwright at CTS for over 45 years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Goshen Moose Lodge 836, Goshen Eagles Lodge and the Bristol American Legion Post 143.
Joe enjoyed spending time going to stock car races, camping, garage sales and trips to the casino.
Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services and a private graveside committal service will be held at a later date.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
