Obituary
GOSHEN — Gloria J. Hein, 83, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Maples at Waterford Crossing Health Center in Goshen.
She was born July 12, 1932, in Elkhart, to Alpha and Linda (Droegmoeller) Haven.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Lawrence A. Hein; two sons, Larry Hein and Mike (Angie) Hein, both of Goshen; three grandchildren, Stacey (Nate) Gautsche of Chicago, Julie (Ryan) Lambright of Fort Wayne and Adam Hein of Indianapolis; and one great-grandson, Bryce Dill of Lakeville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 sisters, Eileen Wentzel, Micky Mabie, Norma Lambo, Wanda Geroux, Deannie Watson, Jennie White, Iris Haven, Linda Taber, Shirley Murphy and Doris Morse and one granddaughter, Shannen Dill.
Gloria was employed with the C.G. Conn Co. for several years and later worked for Goshen Case prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Goshen DAV Chapter 15 Ladies Auxiliary and spent many years as an avid bowler.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Lade will officiate. Interment will follow in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen DAV Chapter 15 in memory of Gloria.
