BRISTOL — Glenn O. Watts, 78, of Bristol, passed away after a brief illness at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born in Elkhart on Nov. 27, 1935, to the late Neal and Helen (Stuart) Watts.
He is survived by his children Sally (John) Coddens of Bristol, Glenn Watts of Cassopolis and Pete (Shelly) Watts of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Nancy Bristol, and brothers Neal and Chester Watts precede him in death.
Glenn worked at several area manufacturing facilities over the years and was a member of the Porter Township (Mich.) Fire Department during the 1960s and '70s. He never knew a stranger, and he will be best remembered for his natural ability to make friends and his love for dogs.
No immediate services have been planned. In accordance with his wishes, Glenn's body will be cremated and buried in Marcellus, Mich., at a later date.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home.
Donations in Glenn's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
