Geraldine E. Turner, 87, formerly of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation in South Bend.

Geri was born in Tulloma, TN on February 21, 1936 to the late, Raymond and Winnifred (McCullough) Turner.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Stuck; brothers and sisters, Raymond H. Turner, Ernestine R.T. Fagg, Ann Turner Reed, Gravis Turner, Leonard Turner, George Turner, Horace Lane Turner, Alice T. Wagner and Carroll Turner and father of her children, James Swoape.

Geri is survived by her son, Brett (Charles) Swoape; son-in-law, Steven Stuck of Elkhart; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Peggy DeFranzo of Elkhart and Julie Lee of Noblesville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Geri was a hard worker. She retired from CTS Corporation as a group assembly leader after many years. She was an animal lover especially when it came to her dogs.

Geri was an avid reader and she could be often found in her garden. She was a social lady whom enjoyed the company of others. Geri was a grandma and loved her family.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Geraldine's Life in May 2024.
