Geraldine Ann "Gerry" Mayberry, 88, of Elkhart passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Centralia, IL on June 29, 1935, to the late Virgil and Lucille (Fowler) Zetzsche.

Gerry is also preceded in death by her husband Paul F. Mayberry; daughter, Debra S. Mayberry; and faithful pug companions, Snuggles, Boo, Midnight, and Mahoney.  She is survived by her grandchildren, Misty (Brandon) Mayberry; P.J. (Cristina) Mayberry, and Doug Ryman; grt. grandchild, Kelby (Bernard), Shandon (Morgan), Cheyenne, Nathan (Ana) Mayberry, Jasmine (Carson) Jimenez, Nayeli Jimenez, Ariana (Antonio) Jimenez-Olvera, Taylor Ryman, Blayne Ryman, and Kagen Ryman; grt. grt. grandchildren, Gracie, Aiden, Zakai, Alan, Aly, Uri, Amiri, Dorian, Kingsley, Kayson; and sisters, Robin (Rick) Blohm and Ginny (John) Nixon.

Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart will host Gerry's celebration of life services on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. Services will follow on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Olive East Cemetery in Elkhart.

Gerry was a strong willed, independent, and no-nonsense woman who was also the sweetest person you could ever meet. She was the proud owner of Mayberry and Sons for over 16 years alongside her husband, Paul, and her family. Family meant the world to Gerry and she would do anything for her grandchildren; she did everything she could to attend every one of their sporting events. Her famous Sunday breakfast with her family was the highlight of any day and she enjoyed being surrounded by her family. Gerry was an excellent cook and could put on the best holiday, graduation, and family get togethers.  She will be missed by her loving family.
