Georgia Jean (Holt) Allen, 80 of Bristol, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at home, and now joins her husband James, who passed two days before her, are now joined in heaven, as they were in life. Georgia or Jean as she was fondly known, was born on November 23, 1942 in Trumann, Arkansas to the late Allie and Robbie Mae (Pickering) Holt. She married her true love James R. Allen on December 21, 1963. James passed on Friday, June 9, 2023, they were able to have 59 wonderful years together. Surviving is their son Neal W. (Peggy) Allen; three grandchildren, Michelle Kibbe, Tyler Allen, Sierra Allen; five great grandchildren, Madison Kibbe, Mia Kibbe, Carter Neeley, Gavin Allen, and Phoebe Neely; also, three brothers, James (Anita) Holt, William C. Holt, and Wayne (Chris) Holt. In addition to her parents and husband James, two infant daughters, Roxanne and Tammy Allen, and a sister-in-law Janice Holt preceded her in death.

Jean and James were co-owners of the J & H Restaurant on Bristol Street from 1964 until 1984, they also operated the River Inn in Bristol, IN and the Bristol Street Café. Jean was an awesome and active grandma; she loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting crystal glass bells.

No local services are scheduled, James and Jean's life's will be celebrated together on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nettleton Cemetery, Jonesboro, Arkansas, where graveside services officiated by her brother William C. Holt will take place. Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann is in charge of arrangements.
