Bellino
August 30, 1950 – February 12, 2007
He was born Aug. 30, 1950, in Oriolo Calabro, Italy, to Joseph and Settimia Bellino. On April 22, 1972, he married Donna Garrett at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elkhart.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; one daughter, Lindsey; one son, Kyle; and his parents, Joseph and Settimia, all of Elkhart; one sister, Rosa (Paolo) Bellino-Giordano of Orlando, Fla.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Nancy Garrett; four nieces, Natalie, Michele, Gena and Stephanie; and one nephew, Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Caterina, who passed away in infancy.
Mr. Bellino was born in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1962, along with his family. He graduated from Elkhart High School, where he met Donna, in 1969. Upon graduation, he worked for GTE, Fujitsu and most recently for the Product Development Corporation in South Bend.
He was an all-around family man who will be remembered for his sense of humor, loyalty and loving, carefree spirit. A loving father, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing bocce ball and cards, and especially, sharing his Italian heritage. His excellent culinary skills, learned from his mother, were loved by all. In addition, he enjoyed the art of wine-making, learned from his father.
