ELKHART — Gene Warner, 84, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Hubbard Hill Estates.
He was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Elkhart to Robert M. and Flossie M. (Holderman) Warner.

On Jan. 1, 1951, he married his wife of 64 years, Virginia (Carney) Warner in Elkhart. She survives at home.
Other survivors include three sons, Steve Warner of Osceola, Allen (Linda) Warner of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Stan (Marsha) Warner of Swartz Creek, Mich.; two sisters, Mary Earnhart of Elkhart and Janet (Harlie) Henson of Huntsville, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Warner Jr. and Terry Warner; brother-in-law Fred Earnhart; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Warner.
Gene was employed as a quality inspector at Williams Products for several years prior to his retirement.
He was a long-time member of Northside Church of the Nazarene and a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the noon Saturday, Jan. 10, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Tim Sheets of Northside Church of the Nazarene will officiate.
