Mr. Garold L. "Gary" Sanders, 61, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully following an extended illness at his home on Friday, April 10, 2020 at 2:30pm.

He was born August 25, 1958 in Elkhart to the late Eugene L. Sanders, Sr, and Carol Ann (Scott) Sanders Newman, who survives him in Three Rivers, MI. He later married Patricia A. "Pat" Griman on June 16, 1984 in Elkhart, She passed in Match of 2016.

Surviving are children Amanda Anglemyer of Vandalia, MI and Lisa (Ben Funkhouser) Sanders, Robert (K. Lindsay) Griman and June Donovan, all of Elkhart; siblings Gene (Rosalee) Sanders of White Pigeon, MI, Jim (Connie) Sanders of Union, MI, Donna Sanders of Ohio, Greg (Cindy) Sanders of Three Rivers and Kenneth "Butch" (Becky) Sanders of Elkhart, and grandchildren Paris, Logan, Lydia, Alexis, Paige, Delaney and Kaylee. Preceding Gary in death along with his father is his step-father Bill Newman and brother Davis Sanders.

In accordance with his wishes, no services have been planned and cremation is to take place with the assistance of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Elkhart.

Gary was an over the road truck driver by trade but cherished his times at home so he could spend time with his family and his grandchildren. He was very mechanically inclined as well as being an avid auto and motorcycle enthusiast, so those two traits went together like milk and honey. He was always spending time in his garage tinkering, and if, for some reason, he wasn't there wrenching, he could probably be found camping, four-wheeling or hunting for mushrooms.
