GENEVA — Garald A. "Gary" Lutz, 62, of Geneva, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Portland.
He was born April 9, 1950, in Elkhart to Ramon R. and Wilma M. "Polly" (Kline) Lutz.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Nelson of Elkhart; three brothers, George R. (Mary) Lutz of Fort Wayne, Harold P. (Phyllis) Lutz of Warrenton, Va., and Dan L. (Susan) Lutz of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas H. Lutz.
Gary was employed as a machinist for more than 35 years with several manufacturers in the northwest Indiana area. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and playing billiards.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Dr. William H. Hemmig will officiate. Interment will be at noon Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Vistula Cemetery, Bristol. In accordance with his wishes, the cremated remains of his dog , andy, faithful friend of 15 years, will be buried with him.
