Freelove Arnold, 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Belltower Health and Rehabilitation in Granger, IN. She was born on September 30, 1928, in Wolcolttville, IN to Vera (Hanes) and James Himes where she grew up in a lively family with 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
On March 7, 1947, she married the love of her life, Elwyn "Al" Arnold, and they were married 47 years until his death in 1994. She is survived by a son, Larry (Patsy) Arnold and a daughter, Sue Grathen, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Freelove's long and fulfilling life was a testament to the power of love, loyalty, and her strength. A lifelong and loyal member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Freelove found great comfort and purpose in her faith. Her steady presence, warm smile, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many within her congregation, where she worshipped faithfully and served selflessly.
