June 30, 1955 - Feb. 27, 2009

OSCEOLA -- Freda Fay Beechler Reser, 53, of Osceola, died at 4:48 p.m. Friday (Feb. 27, 2009) at The Hospice House of Elkhart after an extended illness.

She was born June 30, 1955, in Mishawaka to Harry and Isabelle (Frye) Beechler.

Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Russell of Bremen; two grandsons; her father, Harry (Deloris) Beechler of Elkhart; one brother, James (Corina) Beechler of Buchanan, Mich.; and three sisters, Sandry Holdren of Newark, Ohio, Therisa Beechler Wolfe of Osceola and Donna (Dean) Marks of Bremen.

Her mother and one brother, Harry Beechler Jr., are deceased.

Ms. Reser worked many years in customer information services for several area banks, including First National, Ameritrust and KeyBank. She also worked as a secretary for the Elkhart Police Department.

She was a 1974 graduate of Penn High School and a member of Elkhart County Community Baptist Church.

She enjoyed playing the piano, making jewelry and spending time with her daughter and grandsons.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Ritchie of the Elkhart County Community Baptist Church officiating.

Cremation will take place, with burial at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
