ELKHART — Frankie M. "Bobbie" Norment, 77, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born in Manchester, Tenn., on April 22, 1936, the daughter of the late Alton W. and Lillie M. (Carr) Rogers.
Survivors include a son, William "Andy" (Pat) Norment of Elkhart; a daughter, Roxanne Shrock of Elkhart; sister Faye Hayes of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Rabbit" Norment, and a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Norment.
Bobbie was employed at Gemeinhardt Co. Inc. in Elkhart for 36 years prior to her retirement. She often enjoyed camping, attending garage sales and relaxing on her front porch while watching her humming birds.
The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Rick Pirtle of will officiate. Interment will follow in Olive Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, Mishawaka.
