He was born Jan. 16, 1957, in Elkhart to John and Helen (Iavagnilio) Sandlin.

He is survived by one sister, Corinne Larson of Stamford, Conn.; his parents, John and Helen of Elkhart; and two nephews.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Billings Funeral Home, 821 Baldwin St., Elkhart, where memorial services will take place at 6 p.m. Ashes will be buried at a later date following cremation.
