ELKHART — Francisco J. Gonzalez, 41, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born May 29, 1971, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, to Juan A. and Teresa (Cervantes) Gonzalez.
In addition to his parents, other survivors include his wife, Emma Lopez of Elkhart; three daughters, Carolina Gonzalez, Carla Gonzalez and Jessica Gonzalez, all of Elkhart; four brothers, Carlos Gonzalez, Juan (Carmen) Gonzalez, Humberto (Patricia) Gonzalez and Sergio Gonzalez, all of Elkhart; sister Eloisa (Luciano) Aguilar of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
Francisco was employed at Custom Woods in Elkhart. He enjoyed soccer, watching television and spending time with his family and friends.
His giving spirit will live on long after Francisco is gone because of the generous gift he gave to others through organ donation.
The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart. The Rev. Glenn Kohrman will officiate.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is assisting the family with arrangements.
