He was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Elkhart County, Ind., to Harry and Macy (Bollinger) Eby. He married Thelma G. Leddon July 1, 1942, in Phenix City, Ala. She died July 22, 1991, in Goshen.

Mr. Eby is survived by a son, Harry (Linda) Eby of White Pigeon; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Emma (Ellsworth) Wert of Union and Jennie (Bob) Henrickson of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Kern and Glenda Hershberger; and a son, Ben.

Friends may call one hour prior to Monday's 1 p.m. funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Keith McFarren of Faith United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Middlebury.

Mr. Eby retired from CTS in 1976 after 24 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Elkhart DAV and a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
