GOSHEN -- Floyd W. Becker, 82, of Goshen, died at 10:42 a.m. Monday (Jan. 18, 2010) in Courtyard Health Care Center.


He was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Moundridge, Kan., to William T. Becker and Elizabeth (Siebrandt) Becker. On April 24, 1949, he married Glenna A. Foster.


She survives along with three daughters, Vicki L. Hanes of Elkhart, and Connie (Glenn) Fuller and Julia Tackett, both of Norman, Okla.; two sons, Michael K. (Cathy) Becker of Jacksonville, Fla., and Paul W. Becker of Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, Edgar (Donna) Becker of Longmont, Colo., Burtrum Becker of Hutchinson, Kan., and Jim (Patti) Becker of Estes Park, Colo.; three sisters, Violet Richert of McPherson, Kan., Sadie Moulds of Murphyboro, Ill., and Murla Dean Adwell of Lyndsburg, Kan.; and 10 grandchildren.


In his younger years, Mr. Becker worked as a stone mason, and later was plant manager at Kinder Manufacturing in Elkhart. He was co-owner of Mastercraft of Nappanee. After retirement he moved to Oklahoma, where he raised hogs and took up stone masonry again. He enjoyed fishing.


He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.


There will be no formal public services. Cremation has taken place.
