ELKHART — Florence G. "Jerrie" Fisher-Hammon, 91, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, at Greenleaf Living Center in Elkhart.
She was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Lafayette to Ray I. and Germain (Nadau) Boyce.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne (Daniel) George of Elkhart; one grandson, Damon (Nanette) Warfel of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; and one great-granddaughter, Kylynne Warfel of Fort Myers Beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Ashburn, and former husband Frank Fisher.
She was a graduate of Elkhart High School class of 1941.
Jerrie was employed at Miles Laboratories for more than 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was an extremely gifted artist. She spent many years traveling to Bonita Springs, Fla., during the winters.
The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Robert A. Van Kempen will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery in Elkhart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation Inc. or the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
