Evelyn LeMunyon, 96, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, August 03, 2020 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Evelyn was born on June 28, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN to William and Julia Nelson. She was married to Paris Mark "Bud" LeMunyon on April 3, 1945 in Marianna, FL. He passed away on May 27, 2004. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, sons, Danny Ray LeMunyon and Terry Mark LeMunyon; and a brother, William Nelson.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Renee (Dave Jr.) Wood of Howe, IN, Jan Pierre LeMunyon of Cassopolis, MI and Cheri (Robin) Secor of Holland, MI; sisters, Lillian, Norma (Don) and Elenor; 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Evelyn served her country in the US Army Corp during WWII. She was stationed in Marianna A.F.B. in Florida, where she met her husband. Evelyn was a member of W.A.C. She enjoyed playing the lottery especially scratch-off tickets. Evelyn will be missed most for her friendly disposition and was loved by everyone who came across her path.

A Military Graveside Service for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 10, 2020 at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Cassopolis, MI. Per the family's request, cremation has taken place.
