She was born Sept. 11, 1921, in Hicksville to Homer J. and Joy Belle (McClellan) Wagner. On July 4, 1941, in Silver Lake, she married Walter Wilson. He died in May 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ann (George) Myer of Bristol and Sharon Girten of South Bend; one son, Lee Wilson of Elkhart; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie (Robert) Forgey of Elkhart; and one brother, Roy Wagner of Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the noon Friday funeral service, all at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Jim Williams of Calvary Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Mrs. Wilson worked as a quality control inspector for C.G. Conn in Elkhart for several years during World War II, and later became a homemaker. She was known as a "grand-sitter" because she looked after the grandchildren of the neighborhood as well as her own grandchildren.

Mrs. Wilson enjoyed cooking for family get-togethers, spending time in her vegetable garden, watching TV game shows and listening to gospel music. She was a longtime member of Calvary Assembly of God in Elkhart. Memorials may be given to the church.
