She was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Paris, Tenn., to Walter R. McClellan and Mabel Click. She married James C. "Jim" Baker on Sept. 1, 1951, in Elkhart.
He survives, along with three sons, Donold K. "Don" (Carla) Baker of Granger, Ronnell D. "Ron" Baker of Elkhart and Jerel R. Baker of Goshen; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Elton (Sharon) McClellan of Elkhart; two sisters, Miriam Hoffman of Elkhart and Evelyn (Bill) Moore of Bradenton, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Narvin McClellan; and a sister, Dorothy White.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday at the Northside Church of the Nazarene, 53569 C.R. 7. Pastor Lane Fausnaugh of Northside Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery immediately after the service.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker, but also was employed at CTS, Whitehall and Miles Labratories for many years. She was a member of Northside Church of the Nazarene since 1957. She enjoyed cooking and traveling.
