ELKHART — Ernest Dorrier, Jr., 76, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017.

He was born in Elkhart on June 23, 1941 to the late Ernest and Margaret Dorrier, Sr., and is preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Brown) and daughter Cheryl Fisher.

Surviving are sons Mike (Jody) Dorrier, and Timothy (Val), David (Loretta) and Randy (Tina) Dorrier,13 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, as well as several siblings including Donna Eby.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart will host Ernest's service on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at noon with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.

Pastor Ken Lacefield will officiate and burial will follow at Adamsville Cemetery.

Ernest was a welder who worked for several steel and milling facilities in the Michiana area over the years.
