Erick J. Kidd, 61, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday evening, June 12, 2019 in his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a hard fought battle with cancer.  A native of Charleston, West Virginia, he was born on January 5, 1958 to the late James Kidd and Alice (Stevenson) Wells. He married Nora J. Winn on June 3, 1989 in Elkhart, Nora survives, as well as a son Eric Kidd, three step-daughters, Denise (Charles) Lambert, Jennifer (Marc) Dunderman, Pamela (Brad) Aaron; also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; three sisters, Drenda Coleman, Betty Kidd Martin, Joyce (Bob) Miller and a brother Mike (Betty) Wells; sister-in-law Switlana Wells and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother, Erick was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Wells, Hugh "Joe" Wells, Tracey Kidd and Frank Kidd.

Erick worked as a supervisor at MORryde for 10 years. He enjoyed working on vehicles and then selling them. He and Nora loved to ride around on their motorcycle on the weekends. He also loved going to Florida and enjoyed any beach anywhere. He also loved airshows and riding ATV's with his grandchildren. Erick loved to cook and share his creations with anyone that was hungry. He also loved hot sauces of all kinds and would sample them all. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Friends and family will gather from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Services celebrating Erick's life will begin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2019 with visitation 1 hour prior, also at Billings Funeral Home.  Pastor Randy Peterson of Porter Baptist Church will officiate.  Per his request, cremation was chosen and will follow the service.
