Eric D. Swanson, 48, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 17, 1971 in Elgin, IL to the late Clarence "Butch" Swanson and Jennifer (Pursell) Calhoun who survives in Argos.

He is additionally survived by his two sons, Jeffery and Adam Swanson; brother, Scott Swanson; mother; and step father, Charles "Chuck" Calhoun. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Jeffery Swanson.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation will take place at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart. A private burial is to take place at Rice Cemetery.

Eric had worked at Sierra Interiors for several years as a laborer. In his free time, he loved to fish. However, spending time with his two boys was his favorite past time and they meant the world to Eric. He loved them immensely and treasured the times he had spent with Jeffery and Adam, especially when the three of them drove around their remote-control cars. Eric will be greatly missed by his family.
