ELKHART — Eric Andrew Rodman, 30, of Elkhart, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, as a result of a work-related accident while working at The Andersons.
He was born in South Bend on Feb. 6, 1983.
On Sept. 10, 2006, he married the love of his life, Tierah, in Elkhart.
She survives him, as well as his daughter, Ariana, and son Ryler Rodman, all reside at home.
A celebration of Eric's life will take place at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart, beginning with visitation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. A funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Olive Cemetery in Elkhart, with graveside military honors to be rendered by the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard and the Northern Indiana Patriot Guard Riders.
Following services, the family encourages everyone who knew and loved Eric to come and join them in sharing memories at Hubbard Hills Estate, 28070 C.R. 24 Elkhart.
Eric was a loving, dedicated and fiercely loyal husband, father, brother and friend. Although his life revolved around his wife and children, he would do anything for anyone and enjoyed helping others. He was very goal-oriented and had nearly completed his bachelor's degree in business management at the time of his passing. He will be best remembered for his huge smile, his love for laughter and his boyish charm. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a Fox Fire Support Specialist with the 2nd and the 4th Infantry divisions, completing two tours of duty in Iraq.
