Elmer H. Shoemaker, 77, of Cassopolis, MI, passed away on Sunday, May 19. 2019 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1941 in Elkhart to the late Charles M. and Susan (Wilson) Shoemaker.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Margo. Elmer is also survived by his sons, Stacey (Beth) Shoemaker, Joda Miller, Billy Shoemaker and daughters, LeAnn (Gerald) Stewart and Deborah Cradolph. There are 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers, Jerry Shoemaker and Kenneth Shoemaker and sisters, Patricia Smartt and Sandra Watson. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, a son (JJ) and granddaughter (Destiny Miller).

Elmer worked hard as a mechanic for many years. He had a heart of gold, welcomed children into his home and raised them as his own (Jessica Davis). He loved collecting toys especially trains & tractors and enjoyed woodworking as well. He loved the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family.

In accordance with Elmer's wishes, cremation will take place at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart. No services will be held.
