ELKHART — Ellis Brown Jr., 69, of Elkhart, passed to his rest Saturday afternoon, Sept. 5, at Kindred Care Valley View.
Mr. Brown was born Dec. 4, 1945, in Savannah, Ga., to the late Ellis Brown Sr. and Dorothy Simmons.
He married Gloria L. Covington on Sept. 26, 1979, in Brooklyn, New York City.
She survives, as well as his sons, Malik Morgan and Corey Covington; a daughter, Tameka Covington; five grandchildren; sister Virginia Prieste; and a brother, Robert Simmons.
Mr. Brown worked as a cook for many years.
In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation was chosen.
Billings Funeral Home is assisting the Brown family with arrangements.
