MIDLAND, Mich.—Elizabeth M. Ziliak, 95, of Midland, Mich., formerly of Elkhart, Ind., gently departed this life Friday, Feb. 21, at Brittany Manor in Midland.
Elizabeth was born Sept. 8, 1918, in Elkhart, to the late August S. and Josephine (Novak) Wozniak.
She married Arthur J. Ziliak. He passed away in 1981.
Surviving are her children, Ruth Ann (Les) Crocker of Houston, Minn., Paula Jean (Samuel)) Capasso of Pendleton, Ky.,and Steven A. Ziliak of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; two grandchildren, Arthur John DeOliveria and Annelese Zusack; and her brother August (Verna Jean) Wozniak Jr. of Elkhart.
Elizabeth formerly worked as an executive secretary at Miles Laboratories and as a bookkeeper and accountant for H & R Block, and with her husband Arthur at Ziliak Ford in Nappanee.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and TOPS. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St.,Elkhart, with a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 with a one-half hour of visitation prior at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. 1405 N. Main St., Elkhart. The Rev. Jason Freiburger will officiate.
