ELKHART -- Elizabeth M. Stockwell, 82, of Elkhart, died at 5:05 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 12, 2010) at Hospice House, Elkhart.
She was born March 17, 1928, in Vienna, Austria, to Franck and Ada Prischl. She married Herbert D. "Herb" Stockwell on Oct. 5, 1969, in Elkhart. He died Nov. 12, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Terry of Texas and Gregory A. Terry of Cassopolis, Mich.; two daughters, Jane E. Grant of Elkhart and Rose Marie (Mike) Stewart of Bristol; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Elizabeth worked as a final inspector at Vacation Homes, and had more than 20 years in the RV Industry. She was also a hostess at the Cottage Inn restaurant in Elkhart and enjoyed going to garage sales, crocheting and sewing. She was an avid walker. She was of the Catholic faith.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be at Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, at 11 a.m. Thursday, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Kevin Bauman will officiate. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a future time in Rice Cemetery.
