ELKHART — Elizabeth E. "Liz" Connard, 79, residing in Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at her home of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Goshen, to the late Arnold and Pearl (Myers) Rookstool.

In addition to her parents, a daughter, Linda Grove, husbands Bud Christner and Whitey Connard and a brother, Cletus Rookstool preceded her in death.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Chelsea Grove and Adam Grove; three great-grandchildren; nephews Dr. Doug (Laurie) Rookstool, Chuck (Jill) Damp and Don Damp; a niece, Pam (Doug) Yoder; and son-in law Bill Grove.

Elizabeth retired in 2002 from Miles Laboratories after 23 years of service.

She formerly worked at Garmans Lumber Co., and was proud of her many" little jobs" she had over the years.

She was a 1956 graduate of Goshen High School and member of First Pentecostal Church in Edwardsburg.

Elizabeth was always thinking of others and was very kind, thoughtful and helpful to her family.

Services celebrating Elizabeth's life will begin with visitation for family and friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Billings Funeral Home Funeral, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, with visitation one hour prior also at the funeral home.

Pastor Troy Bowers, of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bristol, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Humane Society of Elkhart County.
