Elizabeth V. "Betty" Orlich, 95, of Westfield, formerly of Elkhart, passed away at IU North Hospital in Carmel Sunday, Oct. 2.
She was born, in Fennville, Mich., March 25, 1921, to the late Mr.and Mrs. John Menninga, and later married Sam D. Orlich in 1961. He passed away in 1998.
Surviving are her children, Betty Burnett of Michigan, Sandra (Dennis) McClellan of Indianapolis, Sally St. John of Westfield and John Kiernan of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Five siblings and a granddaughter preceded her in death.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart will celebrate Betty's memory from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 7, with a memorial service starting at noon.
In accordance with her wishes, Betty has been cremated and will be buried next to her husband in Little Pine Cemetery, in Goshen, following the service.
Betty was a homemaker who cherished the times she spent with her late husband, children and grandchildren.
