Elizabeth A. "BETTY" Crussemeyer
90, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Sunday evening, May 24, 2015 at Eastlake Terrace. A native of Elkhart, she was born on January 3, 1925 to the late John and Josephine (Anzlovar) Yarc Sr.
She married Robert Crussemeyer on April 27, 1946 in Elkhart, he is deceased. In addition to her parents and husband, a brother John Yarc and sister Ann Talchik preceded her in death.
Betty is survived by her children, sons, James (Beverly) Crussemeyer of Bristol, Thomas Crussemeyer of White Pigeon, Mich, daughters, Kathryn (John) Fry of Charlotte, N.C. and Rebecca (Lee) Crockett of Bristol; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and her sister, Sister Bernadette of the Monastery of the Poor Clares, Kokomo, Ind. survive as well.
Betty retired from CTS Corporation, as a machine operator, with 40 years of service. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She volunteered for many years with Council on Aging.
Betty was a 1943 graduate of Elkhart High School and was also a member of the Democratic Women's Club. She enjoyed doing crafts, making afghans for family and friends, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Please join with her family with visitation beginning 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St. Elkhart. Reverend Matthew Coonan will officiate.
In keeping with Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will follow the Mass at St. Vincent Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request memorials be given to Humane Society of Elkhart Co. 54687 CR 19, Bristol, IN 46507.
