ELKHART — Eleanor Marie Massa, 90, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
She was born July 24, 1924, in Newark, N.J., to Giovanni and Elvira M. (Torsiello) Sesso.

On Sept. 29, 1956, she married John Daniel Massa in Newark.
Survivors include her son, Frank D. (Lori) Massa of Elkhart; daughter Patricia (Richard) Barth of Phoenix; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five sisters, Palma Gabriele, Josephine Schubach, Jenny Cottone, Yolanda Auriemma and Amelia Meola; and six brothers, Peter, Michael, Gerald, Patsy, Michael and Peter Sesso.
In addition to being a loving homemaker for several years, Eleanor was employed with Lionel Train Corp. in New Jersey for over 16 years.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a former member of the Happy Homemakers and Sweet Adelines International.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, with visitation for an hour prior at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart. The Rev. Matthew Coonan will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery in Elkhart.
