Eldon "Al" E. Likes, 83, of Nappanee, passed away on Wednesday, February 2 , 2022 at his home.

Eldon was born on December 13, 1938 in Mishawaka, IN to Clifford and Mildred Likes. He was married to the love of his life, Louella M. Marsh-Likes on September 28, 1960. She passed away in 2006.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louella, parents; Clifford and Mildred; stepson, Johnnie Biggs; stepdaughters, Rosie Schrock and L. Barbara Lee; and stepsister, Emily George-Likes.

Al is survived by stepsons, Vern Biggs and Leo Biggs; stepdaughter, Juanita "Pat" Tucker; many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.

Al served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for most of his life employed with Trism, J.B. Hunt and Truck Accessories Group aka Lear. He was a proud member of the "Million Mile Club". Al was a Jehovah's Witness and member of the Masonic Lodge in North Vernon, IN. In his spare time, Al loved trains and fishing.

Al was a hardworking and supportive man with a heart of gold.

Per Al's wishes, he will be cremated and buried with his wife, Louella at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Goshen. There will be a private celebration of life with family and friends at a later date. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart is assisting the family.
