ELKHART — Edwin R. "Ed" Quimby, 68, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:12 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, in his home after an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 25, 1944, in Hanover, N.H., to the late George H. and Evelyn M. (St. Aubin) Quimby.
Surviving are his sister, Violet (Kenneth) De Rusha of East Ryegate, Vt.; his brother, Wilfred (Ruth) Quimby of Claremont, N.H.; and his caregivers, Pastor Matthew and Wanda Shorter of Elkhart.
Arrangements were placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
In accordance with Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place and he is to be returned to Claremont for burial at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in Ed's name may be given to a charity of one's choice.
