IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Edward A.

Kiefer, Jr.

June 14, 1960 – February 20, 2023

Obituary

Edward A. Kiefer Jr., 62, passed peacefully at his home in Goshen, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 20, 2023 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

Edward was born on June 14, 1960 in Elkhart to Judith (Michaels) Safford and the late Edward Kiefer Sr.  Edward married his true love Debra Ann Yoder on April 21, 1979. Debra passed away May 29, 2022 after 43 years of marriage.

Surviving is his daughter Mandy (Jeremy) Larson and his two sons, Matthew (Nicole) Kiefer and Alexander (Samantha) Kiefer; seven loving grandchildren, Abby and Emma Larson, Elliana, Ariana, and Ryan Kiefer, and Emerson and Collins Kiefer. Also surviving is his brother, Gregory (Amy) Kiefer, three sisters, Mindy (Ed) Voras, Anne (Neil) Batie, Liz (Don) Robertson, and a boat-load of nieces and nephews.

Ed's Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He spent a great deal of time praying and witnessing to anyone in need, which included teaching Sunday school, prison ministry, and community outreach. He was an active member at Grace Community Church in Goshen.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. from 1978 until 1985. Ed worked at The RV Factory in the marketing department for the past 10 years. He was very creative and has always liked technology and anything to do with the graphic arts. Ed was an artist, who enjoyed drawing and painting. He loved spending time with his family, enjoying the simple things in life.  Such as camping, tossing the frisbee, kayaking, going on walks and trips for ice cream.  His grandkids filled his heart with joy and uplifted his spirit.

Ed showed us all how to be humble stewards, to be courageous and fearless while sharing Christ, to give without wanting anything in return.  When others recognized the strength he had, he made it clear that it was the strength of Jesus.
