ELKHART – Edward Eugene "Gene" Poarch, 49, of Elkhart, passed away June 25, 2018.

Gene was born July 1, 1968, to Alan Poarch and Diane (Hayden) Knight in Elkhart.

He worked at Heartland RV in Elkhart for eight years.

He loved Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, watching NASCAR and Football (especially the Steelers), playing pool and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Poarch; his sons, Adam McCavitt and Brian Poarch; his mother, Diane Knight; and stepmother Laura Poarch; his brothers, Arthur (Dusty) Poarch and Anthony Knight; his sister, Dawn Poarch; his nieces and nephews, Randy, Tempest, Evon, Britney, Christopher, Anaranda, Sammy and Tharon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Poarch; stepfather Jerry Lee Knight Sr.; his brother, Jerry Lee Knight Jr.; and his niece, Courtney Knight.

Funeral services will be at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart at 6 p.m. Friday, July 13, with a viewing starting at 4 p.m and a graveside service at a later date at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen.

Memorials in Edward's memory may be given to the Indiana DAV Chapter 19.
